Reading the Terms Transparency Score

Some casino pages carry a Terms Transparency panel. It is a different measurement from the Trust Score and answers a narrower question: how clearly does this operator write down the rules it will hold you to?

It is not a rating of whether the terms are fair. It reads whether they are findable and specific.

The four add up to a score out of 100.

• Withdrawal clarity — does the document say how withdrawals are processed and how long they take, in terms you could hold them to?
• Limit strength — are minimum and maximum limits stated as numbers, or only as "limits may apply"?
• KYC predictability — can you tell in advance when verification will be demanded, or only that it might be?
• Licence identifiability — do the terms name the licensee and the licence, so the claim can be checked against a register?

Every finding carries a quote

Under each item, where one exists, is a sentence taken from the operator's own terms, with a link to the page it came from.

That is deliberate. A score with no quote behind it is an opinion you cannot check. With the quote there, you can read the sentence and disagree with our reading of it.

When no usable quote could be pulled, the item shows no quote rather than a paraphrase. An analyst's summary sitting in the position reserved for the operator's words would break the promise the panel makes.

The range runs from 22 to 94, with a median of 63. Nothing scores 100, and nothing scores 0.

That clustering in the middle is itself informative: most operators write terms that are neither hidden nor precise. They mention limits without numbers, and verification without thresholds.

No score is not a bad score

A casino without this panel has not been evaluated. It is not a zero, and it is not a finding. The same rule applies here as with the Trust Score: absence of a measurement is not a measurement.

In lists and sorting, casinos without a score are placed last rather than treated as low-scoring.

How to use it

The useful move is to read the quotes rather than the number.

A casino scoring well on licence identifiability has given you a licensee name you can take to a regulator's register. One scoring poorly on limit strength has reserved the right to apply limits it has not told you about. Those are concrete facts about what you are agreeing to, and the number is only a summary of them.

What it does not tell you

• Whether the operator follows its own terms
• Whether the terms are fair, only whether they are clear
• Anything about games, support, or payouts

Clear terms that are harsh are still harsh. This score measures whether you can find out in advance.
